The Crystal Maiden
The skeleton of a teenage girl, now known as “The Crystal Maiden,” can be found in a dusty chamber deep inside the Actun Tunichil Muknal cave in Belize.
It is believed that the girl was a Mayan, sacrificed to the rain god. There are many other skeletons in that cave, but this is the most famous one.
