As the list progresses we’ll see California as a popular place for celebrities to live in. Real estate agent Gary Gold of Hilton said “Hidden Hills is popular. It’s a gated area, it’s away from Los Angeles. You can’t just drive through it. It’s a beautiful setting, and people won’t be bugged out there.” Another great factor for gated suburbs like the Hidden Hills? “Great private schools,” Umansky said. “They (celebs) feel like their kids can have privacy.”

Hidden Hills, California is the place where many of the Kardashian/Jenner have their residence. Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West have been renovating their $20 million mansions for years and they moved in in 2019. In this picture we can see their mansion. Kylie Jenner has a $12 million Cape Cod-inspired compound, and also Khloe Kardashian bought Justin Bieber’s mansion for a total of $7 million.

If you are looking for a hippie yet luxurious place, this lower Manhattan neighborhood is perfect for you! Apart from being one of the safest places in NYC, you'll get to be neighbors with Robert De Niro, Jon Stewart, Taylor Swift, Orlando Bloom, Jay Z, and Beyonce. So, yeah, you could say it's pretty exclusive.

This area onsisted mostly of industrial buildings, which have been transformed into multimillion-dollar lofts. Taylor Swift has not only purchased two matching penthouses, but three. It looks like she is building an empire. Tay is not the only one investing in properties, the power couple, Jay Z and Queen B, have been owners of a very expensive penthouse, which worth is at $56 million, with an 8,000-square-foot interior and an additional 3,000-square-foot terrace and outdoor area.

Given it's the most populated city in the country, it's no surprise that many stars choose to buy a house in New York City. However, many others choose to settle down either on the city's outskirts or upstate. For instance, did you know that many celebrities own holiday houses in The Hamptons?

Stars like Neil Patrick Harris, Alec Baldwin, Robert Downey Jr. and Julianne Moore have chosen to buy a house in this town, located just 75 miles from NYC. Last but not least, Beyonce and Jay Z, whose net worth is around $1.35 billion, have recently bought a lavish mansion in East Hampton.

Some of the celebrities that live in this area are Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez, and the billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk. In fact, Elon has discreetly been buying up an entire Cul-de-Sac in Bel-Air for these past years. He's already bought six mansions, but rumor has it that there are yet more to come!

There are many cool neighborhoods in LA, but Los Feliz is where the younger stars settle down because it’s closer to downtown. > “The bachelors and bachelorettes want to be closer to the city and want to go out and entertain. Robert Pattinson once lived here, Katy perry owned a house with Russell Brand and Kristen Stewart also purchased a house. A superstar like Angelina Jolie joined this exclusive part of town when she bought a home for $24.5 million in the gated community of Los Feliz's Laughlin Park. Yep, the house in the picture. Also, the Transformers actress, Megan Fox, bought a $2.94 million dollar mansion in 2010 and later sold it.

#15. The Upper West Side, New York

This part of town gained a lot of fame for the movie You’ve Got Mail since the entire film was shot here. Many celebrities prefer this area because it can be quite chill, a lot of residential lots and have exceptional restaurants and bars, and Central Park is super close. What else can you ask for?

The one and only Bono has been living in this neighborhood since the late 80’s/early 90’s with his wife, and four children. The singer purchased the apartment from Steve Jobs for $15 million. Anne Hathaway also loves NYC in early 2016 bought a $2.55 million penthouse in an Upper West Side co-op with her husband.

Some celebrities prefer to live far away from the chaos of LA, you know from paparazzi and wild fan encounters at all time. However, one of the biggest advantages is being able to enjoy every perk of the city living without actually living in it. Boston has been the home for many movie stars like Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg.

The popular neighborhood is known as “Star Island” is full of really luxurious houses and even more luxurious celebs. LeBron James bought one of the most opulent and expensive homes in the area home (the one in this picture), apparently, it has 6 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms, with a chef’s kitchen, custom theater, guest home, and an infinity-edge pool, among other things.

The most famous actor in town is probably Matthew McConaughey, a Texan born-and-raised, who rather live close to his parents and offer a similar, well as best as he can, childhood to his kids. Sandra Bullock starred in the 1998 film Hope Floats, which was filmed in Austin, the actress fell in love with the city and supposedly, owns several homes in the Austin area.

The only thing to have in mind is prices for residential lots go for around 38 million dollars, so you mos be rolling in it. Some celebrities that live there are Madonna, Jack Nicolson, Marlon Brando, and where John Lennon used to live.

Farther away from the spotlight, New Orleans has many superstars living or purchasing homes there, may sound odd to some people but there is something about this place that leaves an impression on those who pass through it. Sandra Bullock paid a little over $2 million for a Gothic Victorian mansion in New Orleans’ famed Garden District.

Matthew McConaughey is one of Louisiana’s favorites, he owns a home there and loves Sake Cafe, Coquette, and Commander’s Palace, some of the best places to go once in New Orleans. Nicolas Cage also is a popular one since he not only bought a house but, said he plans to make it his final resting place in St. Louis Cemetery #1. a little extreme but we´ll take it.

While the tourist generally attracted to Orlando or Miami, the Jupiter area has become of great interest to celebrities. A little peace and quiet from the everyday chaos must be nice, especially when people come up to you all the time. Nashville is the country music capital of the world, therefore a considerable amount of country singers live here, but other celebs have been drawn to this area as well. Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban live in an exclusive gated community called Northumberland. Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and Reese Witherspoon also own properties in TN.

A similar case with the sisters, Kate and Rooney Mara, they are from Bedford and went to Fox Lane High School.

The Windy City might be an odd one but, some celebrities love this place, either they grew up here or felt in love over the years. Chance the Rapper, Chicago’s most beloved musician, has bought a condo in Chicago for a whopping 4 million dollars.
