#31. Paula Stanton's Love Story
Paula Stanton lived in Somers Point, New Jersey. She had been married for 30 years to her husband, Michael, with whom she had children.
Their love grew stronger as the years passed by. It was in their 20th wedding anniversary when Michael gave Paula the greatest gift of all time.
#30. A Wonderful Gift
Michael decided to give Paula a big surprise, so he bought her a shiny diamond ring. Being in love for more than 20 years is definitely worth a big celebration! So Michael bought a golden ring with diamonds inside, and Paula couldn't be more surprised.
She was so impressed that she couldn't stop staring at it, admiring its design and perfection.
#29. Household Chores
Paula was always wearing her stunning ring, even while doing household chores. One day she was cleaning the bathroom just like any other day. She wouldn't stop until it was as clean as a hound's tooth. Paula started with the shower and continued with the toilet.
When she was done, the bathroom was spotless. But as she headed off to another room, she noticed something was missing...
#28. Something Was Missing
At first, Paula had a weird feeling in her left hand. She lifted it up to have a look at it and quickly realized that her wedding ring was gone! She wore the ring for more than 10 years, she never took it off, and now it was missing.
Of course, she got really worried because the ring meant everything to her. Paula tried to keep calm but she couldn't help it...
#27. Searching Without Rest
Paula was so desperate to find her stunning ring that she searched the whole house. She spent countless hours looking for it, even searching in places where it was impossible for the ring to be. Paula was determined to find the ring before Michael arrived home but all efforts were in vain, because the ring was completely gone.
Michael soon arrived home and learned about the missing ring. He couldn't believe what he was listening to.
#26. Michael's Reaction
Paula apologized for losing the ring and was very embarrassed by the situation. Michael didn't say a word, he just stared at his wife, speechless. But when he opened his mouth... he couldn't stop laughing!
Even though he spent a lot of money on the ring, he didn't care about the loss. The next day, he bought Paula a new ring, which was very similar to the lost one.
#25. Problem Solved
Although Michael solved the problem, Paula was still worried about her loss. She couldn't believe that she lost something she treasured and cherished for over two decades. She had it materially replaced, but the sentimental value iwas almost impossible to replace.
After a couple of weeks, Paula realized that she may have lost it while cleaning the bathroom. Did it fall into the toilet drain? She immediately called the public works department...
#24. Phone Call
City worker Ted Gogol was on the other side of the phone. Paula asked for his help and he happily agreed to help her, but also warned her that it was a hard task so she wouldn't get her hopes up.
Months had gone by and Paula had no news about her ring, until 9 years later, when Ted called her back. He was working in a manhole just a couple of blocks from Paula's home, when he saw something...
#23. Great News
Ted reached out to the shiny little object and realized it was a ring. He immediately remembered Paula and the ring's description she had given him. Ted went to the Stantons' to give them the big news. W
hen Paula opened the door and saw her ring, she burst into tears. It was her wedding ring! Paula was so excited that she couldn't stop hugging Ted.
#22. Two Rings
Ted was glad to have finally found the missing ring. "There are honest people in the world, and I was so happy to have been able to help somebody," he said. Paula was incredibly happy now that she got her wedding ring back.
She only had one thing to worry about: what would she do with the second ring? She didn't hesitate and started wearing both.
#21. Lost Purse
A similar story took place recently. In February 2019, the Jeffersonville High School was being demolished. Apparently, the school staff had previously taken out all valuable items.
However, a worker found something that caught his attention. It was a dark-blue purse full of dirt and dust. The workers decided to keep it safe, since it was full of objects inside. "Someone had probably forgot it," they thought.
#20. Incredible Discovery
The workers were curious to see what was inside the purse. Once they were on break, they opened it carefully, since it was in excellent condition. They thought they would find junk inside, but as they started digging, they realized that they were all objects from 1950
They found newspaper excerpts, nostalgic items and even a lipstick which must have belonged to a student from that era. The purse was like a mini time capsule!
#19. Love Letter
Apart from finding incredible vintage items, the workers also found a letter. It was a love letter, addressed to Marty from Torchy. Apparently, there was a love triangle, because both Torchy and Paul asked Marty to be their prom's date.
The workers contacted the school in order to find the owner of the purse. After a couple of days of investigating old school records, the school staff found a match!
#18. Finding The Owner
Unbelievably, the purse belonged to Martha Ina Ingham, who graduated in 1955. Martha was an 80-year-old woman living in Florida. One day, someone knocked on her door to give Marta the purse.
She couldn't believe that she had her purse back! Martha was so happy that she told the man the story behind those love letters. The problem was that she didn't go to prom with Paul, nor with Torchy...
#17. Love Triangule Revealed
Back in 1955, Martha wanted to date a different person, Carter Williams. She left Paul and Torchy behind to be with Carter, and they were together for a year.
However, Martha wasn't eager to bring back all those old memories about her previous boyfriend, she just wanted to have her belongings back, for which she was very grateful.
#16. New Discovery
As Martha learned that old school memories can last forever, the same happened to Ann Caldwell, who made a discovery while cleaning her house.
Ann lived alone in Augusta, Georgia. Her house was always tidy and clean, no one could argue about that. One day, she was tiding up a drawer and saw a shiny item that caught her attention...
#15. Class Ring
She took the shiny item and realized it was a class ring. It was made in gold and had black details, surely it was something of sentimental value, but Ann couldn't recognize it.
The ring had the initials C.S. and it read "Weatherford High School, 1959". Ann had no idea how a ring from a graduate in Oklahoma could be in her drawer!
#14. Tracking Down The Owner
The Georgia woman started searching for the owner of the ring. With a little help, she was certain that she would find him or her. One day, Chad Wilson, the Weatherford Superintendent of Schools, offered to help her.
Chad was able to access school records and track the owner with the initials C.S. He grabbed a yearbook from 1959 and started looking for those initials.
#13. Perfect Match!
After doing a thorough search, Chad found a man named Coy Sullivan. He made incredible progress, but he needed more information to locate Coy.
Was he living in the country? Was he even alive? After months of investigation and no good news, Chad almost gave up on the search until one day he found a Facebook account under the name of Justin Sullivan.
#12. Successful Connection
Indeed, Justin was Coy's son! Chad immediately contacted Justin by Messenger, who answered in just a few minutes saying that his father was alive and well! Justin told his father about the ring, and he perfectly remembered it.
In fact, he lost it decades ago and always wondered where it was. When Ann learned that the owner was found, she couldn't wait to meet him and give his treasure back.
#11. How Did It Get There?
Ann run to Coy's home to give him his ring and solve the mystery. Why would a class ring be in her drawer? After giving it some thought, they found out that Ann's husband worked in the family business: a laundry close to Coy's school.
Coy used to take his clothing to the laundry, so they guessed that he might have placed his class ring in a pocket and later took it to the laundry.
#10. 60th Anniversary
Coy was surprised that both Chad and Ann set their minds to find him. A couple of months later, Coy met his former classmates who organized a reunion for their 60th graduation anniversary.
He was very glad that he could take the ring to the meeting and show it to everyone. After all, high school memories last forever and leave a mark, much like this beautiful love story we'lll look at next.

There is another story to tell, which shows how high school friends can make a huge impact on our lives. Adrian Pearce and Vicki Allen had dated back in high school for almost 2 years.
Eventually, Vicki decided to split up with Adrian, but he would never forget about his romance. Before breaking up, Vicki gave Adrian a present, which he would always cherish.
#8. New Year, New Love!
It was just before Christmas when the couple split up. Adrian was heartbroken and couldn't face the fact that they weren't together anymore, so he didn't open Vicki's gift.
Years later, Adrian started a relationship with Valerie, and he completely fell in love! But still, there was something weird. It seemed that he couldn't let go of Vicki...

Every year, Adrian would put the unopened present from Vicki under the Christmas tree. One day, Valerie decided to end the mystery and told Adrian to finally open the present to see what was inside. Instead,
Adrian decided to write a post on Facebook telling his Facebook friends about the wrapped present and asking for help in finding Vicki, because he wanted to open the present with her.
#6. Finding Vicki
Adrian's Facebook friends started answering, and one of them said that he had Vicki's contact information. Finally, Adrian could reach out to Vicki, and she insisted that both Adrian and Valerie went to British Columbia to visit her.
Adrian nervously accepted the invitation. How was this meeting going to turn out? It was impossible not to think about it.
#5. The Reunion
Adrian and Valerie flew to western Canada to finally meet Vicki, who welcomed the couple and was very happy to see them. What's funny is that Vicki couldn't recall what the present she once gave to Adrian was, so she was curious to see what was inside.
However, she remembered what happened the day she went to buy Adrian's present: she came across a guy, they chatted for a while and kissed!
#4. Opening The Present
After 47 years, Adrian finally got an explanation. Vicki left Adrian because she was ashamed that she had cheated on him! Adrian laughed after hearing the story behind their break up.
He gave the present to Vicki, still unopened, and she opened it. Suddenly, her face started to turn red, she was surprised to see the content...
#3. Mystery Finally Revealed!
After so many years, Adrian got to see what his present was. It was a book titled Love Is... New Ways to Spot That Certain Feeling, which contained comics written and drawn by Kim Grove, who was inspired by her husband's love letters.
It seemed that Vicki was only thinking about love back in those days. She flipped the pages of the book and found a note inside...

We don't know the contents of the note, since Adrian kept it for himself and didn't reveal it.
Back home, Adrian decided to frame the book together with its wrapping, to cherish it and keep it always with him. But this story wasn't over yet!

This amazing story led Adrian to write a book titled The 47-year-old present. As soon as he started promoting it, he revealed that he was preparing a documentary which will contain certain secrets that the book didn't.
