#21. The Schoonovers
This is the story of the Schoonover family from South Carolina. Karen and Chip, who have four amazing daughters, saved money for years to go on vacation just the two of them.
They decided to leave for a week and left their four daughters, Haley, Hollie, Heather and Alice unsupervised at home, thinking they were old enough to stay alone without causing trouble.
#20. Heather And Hollie
Heather, the oldest sister, wasalready married and had moved with her husband some years ago but knowing her parents were out of the town, she decided to go back home and spend time with her sisters.
Hollie's hobbies consisted of make-up, acting, and singing, but she had different plans this time and her older sister was there to help her.
#19. Following The Plan
Halice, their little sister, was attending nearby Coastal Carolina college and she managed to go home and help her sisters.
Hollie's plan had several steps and that's why Haley decided to record a video of the whole process. The four sisters were cooperating with Hallie's plan and having a great time together.
#18. A Big Surprise
The girls waited for their parents to leave the house to start working on their plan. They had planned to redecorate the house as a Christmas gift, trying to show their love and appreciation for everything their parents had done for them during their lives.
"When they come back they are going to be so surprised!" was what they thought when they started working.
#17 Shopping The Items
The four girls had been saving money for some months to buy new carpets, curtains, paint and everything they needed to completely change the house. They even bought new objects to decorate it and had everything they needed.
However, their only problem was that none of them knew how hard the renovation would be. They started to get worried since they thought that maybe they wouldn't finish in time before their parents come back.
#16. The First Problems
The project didn't start well. When they started with the rooms they discovered there was a lot of junk they needed to get rid of to continue with the plan.
Throwing out everything took the whole first day of work. When they finished cleaning they realized that it would be much harder than they thought but they were determined and knew what they wanted to do.
#15. Need Of Reinforcement
The youngest one, Hollie, began to lose confidence and started to think they wouldn't make it and their parents would come back and see their home completely devastated.
However, they couldn't leave things like that, they had to carry on and call some friends to help them to get things done in time.
#14. All Their Strength
The plan of the girls was much bigger than just painting the walls. The money they had been saving allowed them to buy new furniture too.
When the truck with the things they bought arrived they realized that getting the old things out would be hard work and they needed all of their strength to do it.
#13. Throwing The Towel
By the third day, their house was a mess because they had left some unfinished things but they were ready to start painting. They received help from their friends and started to work on the walls.
But painting every room was way more difficult than they anticipated. They were about to throw the towel.
#12. Going Back Home
After some days, Heather and Halice had to go home to take care of their stuff, leaving their younger sisters to work alone.
Hollie and Haley weren't happy when their sisters told them they had to leave, but they had to continue working.
#11. Seventh Day
The day finally arrived when their parents were coming back home. The girls were really excited about that even though they had been working a lot.
The older sisters came back and the four of them waited patiently for their parents to arrive, catching everything on camera.
#10. Revealing The First Surprise
When their parents were about to arrive, the sisters revealed to them that their oldest daughters were there to spend the holidays at home, which made them very happy.
They didn't have a clue about what they were going to find when they arrived home, but the girls were sure they were going to like it!
#9. They Finally Arrived
When both parents arrived in the driveway after their vacation, they felt something was different, but they didn't suspect anything about thereal surprise that was waiting for them inside the house.
The four daughters were waiting for them outside the house to greet them.
#8. Finally Seeing The New House
"All right, who cleaned?" was the first thing their mother told the girls after only looking at the front of the house. The girls just laughed and insisted they should go inside to leave their things and talk about the trip.
The whole family went inside the house where Karen and Chip finally saw what the girls worked so hard on!
#7. Happiness
When they accessed the kitchen Karen, the mother, was really shocked. Tears of joy were running down her face as she explored her brand new kitchen and then continued moving to the rest of the house.
Of course, she couldn't stop thanking her daughters.
#6. Their New Kitchen
The parents were completely in love with their new house. The walls were now pale blue and white and the cupboards and furniture dark brown, making it all seem bigger and more elegant.

#5. Let's Go To The Living Room
After seeing the kitchen they went to the living room. They couldn't believe their eyes!
The girls had ditched their couch and placed two new ones, a coffee table and also rearranged and changed the family pictures on the wall.
#4. Now The Bed
When they got into the bedroom Karen was so happy she started to dance and jump around her bed.
It turns out that both their bedroom and the guest room were completely redecorated with new bedclothes, frames and new color on the walls.
#3. The Tour Ended
When the house tour ended, the girls told their parents how they had been planning this surprise for months to give them the best Christmas present ever.
When they sat down for some minutes even the girls couldn't believe everything they had done.
#2. Enjoy The House
Karen and Chip were not only happy but also very proud of their daughters. They never expected to find this when they got home.
They just wanted to come back home to rest from the trip and they found the biggest surprise they've ever received. They were ready to enjoy their new house.

Some weeks after the event, Hollie decided to post the video she had made on her YouTube channel. The video had thousands of views and received a lot of comments from people who were inspired to do the same.
The girls were beyond happy when they saw that the video motivated other people around the world.
