If you’re planning a trip to Phoenix there are a lot of things to do; one of them is visiting a restaurant. But because there are so many to choose from you’ll want to pick one that you have information about and one that is worth going to.
I’ve compiled a list of the best restaurants in the Phoenix area of Arizona and a little information about each of them.
“Tutti Santi Ristorante’ Italiano by Nina” is located at 7575 North 16th Street just north of Glendale Avenue and was voted “Best Restaurant in Phoenix in 2009.” This restaurant serves Italian dishes such as “Mozzarella Caprese,” “Carpaccio di Bue,” and “Calamari Fritti.” The dessert menu includes “Cannoli,” “Tiramisu,” and “Chocolate Mousse.” Soft drinks are available or you can order off the wine list. Entrées start at $9.95 and go up to $24.95. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, dinner is served Sunday through Thursday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. “Barrio Cafe“is located at 2814 North 16th Street. “Chef Silvana Salcido Esparza” who is the owner of the café has been nominated for the 2010 “James Beard Award.” This restaurant serves Mexican dishes such as “Ensalada de Pato,” “Cochinita Pibil,” and “Torta del Barrio.” The dishes are reasonably priced starting at $8.00 and go up to $26.00; soft drinks and spirits are served. Business hours are Tuesdays through Thursdays 11:00 am to 10:00 pm, Fridays 11:00 am to 10:30 pm, Saturdays 5:00 pm to 10:30 pm, on Sundays brunch is served from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm then dinner starts at 3:00 pm; closed on Mondays. “Durant’s” is located at 2611 North Central Avenue and is open Monday through Thursday starting at 11:00 am to 12:00 am, Fridays 11:00 am to 1:00 am, Saturdays 5:00 pm to 1:00 am, and Sundays from 4:30 pm to 12:00 am. “Durant’s” serves American dishes such as “Porterhouse Steak,” “Beef Tenderloin,” “Chicken dishes,” and for dessert you can choose “Chocolate Fudge Brownie Pie,” Fruit Cobbler,” or “Cheesecake. “Golden Phoenix Chinese Restaurant” is located at 6048 North 16th Street and has live music on Fridays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Chinese dishes are served such as “Volcano Beef,” “Kung Pao Chicken,” and “Beef with Broccoli.” All dishes are reasonable starting at $5.95 and go up to $14.75 per order.
