Here’s what the Friends’ apartment would look like in 2018

14 years later, the unforgettable purple-walled apartment still remains in our hearts (as it probably will forever!) However, we are really curious about what it would look like if Monica and the gang still lived there. Let’s take a look!

The Modsy team, a new online decorating service which creates awesome 3D renderings of users’ homes, reimagined what the space might look now if Monica and Chandler hadn’t decided to move out of the city.

Would Monica and Chandler have kept the original style of the place? They imagined that the couple would have kept the purple door, the gold frame and even Rachel’s “Jouets” poster. See what the new kitchen looks like next!

The Modsy team imagined that the couple would have kept the original style, but with a warm upgrade: a look that would work both for Monica’s eclectic taste and Chandler’s need for comfort.

Note that the shelving and exposed wood beam are still present. Also present? Monica’s famous pickle jar. Take a look at the new changes in the Living Room.

Had Monica and Chandler decided to stay in the apartment, they would have certainly worked together to create a space that reflects them as a couple. “They would trade their eclectic mix of furnishings and lilac walls for a new look,” says Modsy Director of Style, Alessandra Wood. We all know that in the end, Monica and Chandler moved to Westchester. And it wouldn’t be too far to assume that Rachel might have jumped at the chance to take over her friends’ apartment. “If Rachel moved in with Emma, the purple walls and teal cabinets would be the first to go!” says Wood. If Rachel had moved in to the apartment along with her daughter Emma, Wood thinks her place would have been a sophisticated space with more feminine furniture and a spark of pale pink and plush velvet. Slide to see the final look of the apartment!

“Rachel’s style is what we’d call Less is More Chic”, adds Woods. It’s a look that combines glamorous items with simple and clean styling.
