How Do You Make The Red, White, & Blue Flag Cake

You will need:

1 box of cake mix.

2 containers of Vanilla frosting. One for frosting and the other for making your border around the top and lower part of your cake

1 pint of fresh blueberries. Rinse thoroughly.

1 quart of fresh strawberries cut in halves. Rinse thoroughly.

Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees (or according to box instructions)

Prepare 8×8 or a 9×9 baking pan. By spraying with non-stick cooking spray.

Mix cake mix according to the instructions on your box.

Pour the batter into your baking pan.

Bake according to instructions for a 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan.

After the cake is done. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

When cake cools spread frosting over entire cake.

Then place your blueberries in the top left corner, the amount as the number of stars on the flag.

Place your sliced strawberries in a row, space your strawberries in between rows allowing for alternating white and red row to show until you have spread all strawberries you can fit neatly on the cake, you may save or eat the leftovers.

spoon your frosting into a pastry bag with the star- shaped tip.

Pipe the border of stars around the edge topside and lower part of the cake.
