How to use certain scents to improve your mood.

Various kinds of fragrances can make you feel energetic, joyful, energized, relaxed and peaceful as well as content. It can help promote focus and hels with memory, rid headaches and allow one to have an over all good feeling. It’;s been used in baths, oil burners and used for massages as well. Below is a list of some scents and thier benefits.

Lavender. The scent of lavender is well known for it’;s properties that allow for a good night sleep, de-stressing and relaxation. It is probably one of the most calming scents there is.  It soothes the mind, promotes a feeling of calm and sets anxiety at bay. Do not use if pregnant.

Rosemary. This scent will allow you to feel content. It de-stresses and is also known for reducing corticol levels.

Peppermint. Peppermint is used to feel alert and to jog memory. It promotes a feel of over all wel being and can reduce stress.

Lemon Balm or Verbena. This clean fresh reviving scent is mainly known for it is used for it’;s natural ability to feel at ease, focus and to enhance mood. It is also a stress reliver as well.

Ylang Ylang. This fragrance is known to make someone feel less alert and more sleepy, it does however promote a feeling of contentment and relaxation. Use this scent in the bath or an oil burner for unwinding after a long day.

Sandlewood. Woodsy and sensual it is known as an aphrodisiac. This may allow one to feel sensual and relaxed in a sort of floaty state, a heady state as one would feel when they are in love. It promotes a feeling of romance as well.

Eucalyptus. This scent will allow one to feel energized, relaxed, at peace and in a calm state as well as feeling revived and renewed.  This scent is often used for massages. It promotes clarity and can assist with focus and memory.

Patchuli. This scent is known for it’;s ultra musky scent which allows one to feel sensual , sultry as well as daring and confident.
