N-Spa Indulgent Hot Butter Fudge Bath Syrup

I love my bath products and was thrilled when I spotted a few new ones from the N-spa collection on a recent shopping trip so I just had to buy them all. The names were wonderful and made them all sound very indulgent and worth the price tag.

The bath syrup come is a clear bottle which shows off the golden coloured liquid inside. The top of the bottle has a plastic flip lid which makes it easy to pour out. The front of the bottle has the product name and the N-spa logo on and the back of the bottle has all of the information about the bath syrup. There is also a phrase on the front of the bottle which reads:-

‘Decadence’ said the wise man ‘is like a sumptuous caramel with a slow-burn creamy sweetness. Soft brown toffee, like clotted cream ice-cream in the summer melting to hot butter fudge. Take extra care as forbidden fruit is the temptation that makes indulgence so wonderfully divine.’

I love the phrases which come on all of the N-spa bottles as they are always fun to read when soaking in my bath.

It is very simple to use the bath syrup and to dos o you just need to pour some under a running tap. The liquid will react with the water almost instantly and the lather will start to form. The liquid is quite thick so a good squeeze of the bottle is needed but not much of the product will be require per bath as it does make a good sized lather. The golden coloured liquid did not change the colour of the bath water.

Upon opening the top of the bottle I was able to smell the fragrance. It was not as I expected but still very nice. The smell is very much like melted butter and has a lovely deep rich warmth to it. For some reason this smell always make me think of curling up and snuggling down in a warm soft bed on a cold winters day.

The smell got stronger as the bath filled and the lather formed. I noticed it did last for a good amount of time, not as long as the other fragrances in this range but it did last for about 15 minutes. Once I had got out of the bath and the water had drained I did notice that the small had completely gone and I could not even smell it on my skin. My skin did feel lovely and soft and fresh after bathing in this and I was very happy with the results.

I have used this several times now and have found the results to be good, it has not dried my skin out and it had not affected my hubby’s sensitive skin either.

The bath syrup comes in a bottle size of 500ml and for me as I have so many others on the go at the same time it lasts me a good 3 months. If you use this regularly then you will find it lasting about 3-4 weeks.

The product ingredients for those wishing to know are:-

Aqua, Sodium laureth sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Parfum, Sodium Chloride, Polysorbate 20, Glycerin, PEG-150, Pentaerythrityl Tetrastearate, PEG-6, Caprylic/Capric Glycerindes, Polyquarternium-7, Magnesium Chloride, Caramel, Sodium Hydroxide, Citric Acid, Magnesium Ntrate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Denatonium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Methylisothiazolinone, Propylparaben, Hexyl Glycol, CI 42090, CI 15985

There are a few warning on the back of the bottle and the biggest of these is that this product must not be eaten or drunk, it also says to avoid contact with the eyes.

This product has not bee tested on animals and the packaging is fully recyclable. The shelf life of the bath syrup is 36 months.

I bought my bottle from Asda as they seem to be the only store selling these at the moment. Tesco are expanding the N-spa range so I hope to be able to find them there too soon. I paid just under £4 for the bottle and although this may seem high the bottle does last and it is worth it just for the smell. Smaller bottles of 100ml can be bought also which are priced at about £1.

I would love to be able to give this bath syrup the full 5 stars but I have had to drop one for the lack of staying power for the smell. It leaves skin soft and moisturised and it makes for a very indulgent bath. A good solid 4 stars.
