Vocal Exercise Schedule

The 20’s and 10’s you see are minutes.

And you can do these on any scale, but you should do two different scales for each workout.

And keep in mind, you don’t have to keep the workout in order of days just as long as you do a different one every day.

Never do the same workout twice in a row.

And remember, DON’T PUSH YOUR VOICE. 

The power will come in time.

As for the vocal fry exercises, the feeling would be like waking in the morning and having a scratchy tired voice. That feeling and sound is vocal fry.

Vocal Workout

Monday 

20 – Scale one – Humming – Rolling B’s – Rolling D’s – One Scale Each 

        Scale two – Humming – Rolling B’s – Rolling D’s – One Scale Each

10 – Slides up and down – Rolling B’s – Rolling Tongue – 3 Mins Each – All Top Down

20 – Scale one – Mum – Gay – No – One Scale Each

        Scale two – Mum – Gay – No – One Scale Each

10 – Nasally – Scale One – Hum – Roll B’s – Roll D – 3 Mins Each – Then Gu Ga’s – 1 Minute

Softly

20 – Scale One – Nay – Yeah – Me  – One Scale Each

        Scale Two – Nay – Yeah – Me – One Scale Each

Cool Down – Rolling B’s – Rolling D’s – Humming – Yawning – All Top Down – Gu Ga’s 

Tuesday 

20 – Any choice or mix of Humming, Rolling B’s, Roll Tongue and Gu Ga’s  

10 – Sing 3 or 4 Songs

Cool Down – Rolling B’s – Rolling D’s Down – Humming – Gu Ga’s – Yawning – All Top Down

Wednesday

20 – Slides up and down – 10 times as smooth as possible with no breaks – Very Light

        Vocal Fry slides up and down – 10 times as smooth as possible – Keep the feeling of the fry

        Scale One – Roll B’s 

        Scale Two – Hum

        Scale One – Mix Roll B’s and Hum

        Scale Two – Roll D’s

10 – Hum – Roll B’s – Roll T – 3 Mins Each – Top Down – Then Gu Ga’s – 1 Minute

20 –  Scale One – Bwa – My – Mum – One Scale Each

         Scale Two – Bwa– My – Mum – One Scale Each

10 – Whatever feels good to the way your voice feels, mix it up 

20 – Scale One – Bow – Ne – Gay 

        Scale Two – Bow – Ne – Gay

Thursday
