"what is Meant by The Word of God"

John 1

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2The same was in the beginning with God.

3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

8He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light..

9That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

11He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 12:48 “Whoever rejects me and does not accept my words already has his judge, namely, the word I have spoken-

it is that which will condemn him on the last day.

49 For I have not spoken on my own; no the Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to speak.

50 Since I know that his commandment means eternal life, whatever I say is spoken just as he instructed me.”

John 15:20 Remember what I told you: no slave is greater than his master. They will harry you as they harried me. They will respect your words as much as they respected mine. 21 All this they will do to you because of my name, for they know nothing of him who sent me.

22 If I had not come to them and spoken to them, they would not be guilty of sin; now however, their sin cannot be excused.

23 to hate me is to hate my Father. 24 Had I not performed such works among them as no one has ever done before, they would not be guilty of sin; but as it is, they have seen, and they go on hating me and my Father. 25 However, this only fulfills the text in their law: “They hated me without cause.” 26 When the Paraclete comes, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father – and whom I myself will send from the Father- he will bear witness on my behalf. 27 You must bear witness as well, for you have been with me from the beginning.

If He had not brought the ‘negative’ or ‘sin’ to their mind’s attention then they could not be guilty of ‘sin’…. this is the ‘SECRET’ that Jesus’ is trying to pass to all.

John 16:25 Jesus said “I have spoken these things to you in veiled language. A time will come when I shall no longer do so, but shall tell you about the Father in plain speech. 26 On that day you will ask in my name and I do not say that I will petition the Father for you.”

I’ve asked Jesus, in His Name, for the ability to hear His Word in plain speech. What I am giving to you now is what Jesus has made available to me by asking. That’s how easy it is…

Speaking of Disciples and the Word.

John 17:6 I have made your name known to those you gave me out of the world. These men you gave me were yours; they have kept your word. 7 Now they realize that all that you gave me comes from you. 8 I entrusted to them the message you entrusted to me, and they received it. They have known that in truth I came from you, they have believed it was you who sent me.

14 I gave them your word, and the world has hated them for it; they do not belong to the world[any more than I belong to the world]. 15 I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to guard them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, any more than I belong to the world. 17 Consecrate them by means of truth- ‘Your word is truth.’ 18 As you have sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world;

So where does SIN come from?

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

6But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

7What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

8But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

9For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

10And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

11For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

13Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

14For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

1 Cor 15:51 Now I am going to tell you a mystery. Not all of us shall fall asleep, but all of us are to be changed- 52 in an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, at the sound of the last trumpet. ……… 56 The sting of death is sin, and sin gets its power from the law. 57 But thanks be to God who has given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Galatians 3:11

It should be obvious that no one is justified in God’s sight by the law, for “the just man shall live by faith.” 12 But the law does not depend on faith. Its terms are: “Whoever does these things shall live by them.” 13 Christ has delivered us from the power of the law’s curse by himself becoming a curse for us, as it is writtten: “Accursed is anyone who is hanged on a tree.” 14This has happened so that through Christ Jesus the blessing bestowed on Abraham might descend on the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, thereby making it possible for us to receive the promised Sprit through faith……..

23 Before faith came we were under the constraint of the law, locked in until the faith that was coming should be revealed. 24 In other words, the law was our monitor until Christ came to bring about our justification through faith. 25 but now that faith is here, we are no longer in the monitor’s charge.

Is this saying that He destroyed SIN so we could thereby get the true ‘Word’ without the curse?

So, Jesus believes SIN is derived from the very fact that you know of it as a LIMITATION in your world. He acknowledges that he only knows of lust because of the ‘Laws’ that bring it to our attention. You can’t NOT think of the colour blue unless you first think of the colour…

“For without the law sin was dead”…. who wrote the laws?…. Men…. that changed God’s Word to include other ‘Rules’ of engagement in this world. In other words Jesus is trying to tell us that the only reason we think of theft and lust etc is because it was listed as a negative or SIN in the Quantum world as a commandment of God’s, when in fact God only had two commandments..

1 – Have no other God’s before me and love Me with all your heart and soul…

2 – Love your neighbor as you would yourself…

That would make sense if you are saying what Jesus is saying… that all of us are God and His duty is to awaken and awaken those around you.

Romans 13:8 Owe no debt to anyone except the debt that binds us to love one another. He who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not murder; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,” and any other commandment there may be are all summed up in this, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love never wrongs the neighbor, hence love is the fulfillment of the law.

11 Take care to do all these things, for you know the time in which we are living. It is now the hour for you to wake from sleep, for our salvation is closer than when we first accepted the faith.

14:22 Use the faith you have as your rule of life in the sight of God. Happy the man whose conscience does not condemn what he has chosen to do! 23 But if a man eats when his conscience has misgivings about eating, he is already condemned, because he is not acting in accordance with what he believes. Whatever does not accord with one’s belief is sinful.

Romans 8:18 Indeed, the whole created world eagerly awaits the revelation of the sons of God.

Romans 16:25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you in the gospel which I proclaim when I preach Jesus Christ, the gospel which reveals the mystery hidden for many ages 26 but now manifested through the writings of the prophets, and, at the command of the eternal God, made known to all the Gentiles that they may believe and obey- 27 to him, the God who alone is wise, may glory be given through Jesus Christ unto endless ages. Amen…

Phil 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for that is what is expected of you. 2 “honor your father and mother” is the first commandment to carry a promise with it- 3 “that it may go well with you, and that you may have long life on the earth.” 4 Fathers, do not anger your children. Bring them up with the training and instruction befitting the Lord.

Elsewhere Jesus states that he has come to set father against son; all in the household against each other. So, is this trying to say that if you ‘Love’ and ‘Honor’ your parents then your going against Jesus’ true teachings and you will not attain ‘Heaven’… therefore you will continue to dwell on earth and have an ‘Earthly’ life and not the life God wishes for us in heaven?

Gospel of Thomas

16) Jesus said, “Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is

dissension which I have come to cast upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against

two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the son against the father. And they will stand solitary.”

55) Jesus said, “Whoever does not hate his father and his mother cannot become a disciple to Me. And whoever does not hate his

brothers and sisters and take up his cross in My way will not be worthy of Me.”

99) The disciples said to Him, “Your brothers and Your mother are standing outside.” He said to them, “Those here who do the will of My Father are My brothers and My mother. It is they who will enter the Kingdom of My Father.”

101) <jesus said=””> “Whoever does not hate his father and his mother as I do cannot become a disciple to Me. And whoever does

[not]love his father and his mother as I do cannot become a [disciple]to Me. For My mother [gave me falsehood], but [My] true [Mother] gave me life.”

Is this trying to say that to attain ‘Heaven’ we must discard our ‘earthly’ material family and treat ‘All’ as our brothers… as it would be in ‘Heaven’?

Gospel of Thomas

70) Jesus said, “If you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is

within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.”

Don’t hide your knowledge… let your light shine for others to see.

Ephesians 6:17 (King James Version)

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Hebrews 4:12 (King James Version)

12For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word of God is able to take the ‘true’ thoughts of feelings of the mind and heart and twist them to make them a source of doubt even to the most devout and God loving person. This is part of the path that Jesus has talked about…. “Take up your cross and follow Me”.

The following excerpts are from “The Book of Mormon”. I do realize that some people have trouble with accepting the validity of certain Books of worship. As I have stated in the past, each book has its own merits and should be looked at in this light. Some question even using the books at all. For one to prove any religion’s Book false or to even call question to it is an impossiblity. Even the Christian Bible has some ‘proof’ that it should be questioned in its authenticity. This ‘proof’ can be found for anything, knowing that a thought or ‘Word’ can manifest what the thinker has in his mind or heart into this world. With this in mind, I say that if you read them and accept them for what they are, a book that reinforces the others with common themes, then you will have understood God’s Word. Most of the following sayings from the BoM can be found elsewhere in other Good Books using similar wording. The message is straight forward and to the point in the BoM, unlike some other writings that are using ‘veiled’ language. God’s Word is like a seed planted in the mind that can destroy and create, this is much like the words used by the Master NeuroLinguistic Programmer or Hypnotist. By the very fact of planting a thought[seed]in the head of his subject, he can give him pleasure or pain[sin].

1 Nephi 11:25 And it came to pass that I beheld that the rod of iron, which my father had seen, was the word of God, which led to the fountain of living waters, or to the tree of life; which waters are a representation of the love of God; and I also beheld that the tree of life was a representation of the love of God.

1 Nephi 14:21 And it came to pass that they did speak unto me again, saying: What meaneth this thing which our father saw in a dream? What meaneth the tree which he saw?

22 And I said unto them: It was a representation of the tree of life.

23 And they said unto me: What meaneth the rod of iron which our father saw, that led to the tree?

24 And I said unto them that it was the word of God; and who so would hearken unto the word of God, and would hold fast unto it, they would never perish; neither could the temptations and the fiery darts of the adversary overpower them unto blindness, to lead them away to destruction.

1 Nephi 17:26 Now ye know that Moses was commanded of the Lord to do that great work; and ye know that by his word the waters of the Red Sea were divided hither and thither, and they passed through on dry ground.

27 But ye know that the Egyptians were drowned in the Red Sea, who were the armies of Pharaoh.

28 And ye also know that they were fed with manna in the wilderness.

29 Yea, and ye also know that Moses, by his word according to the power of God which was in him, smote the rock, and there came forth water, that the children of Israel might quench their thirst.

.. 31 And it came to pass that according to his word he did destroy them; and according to his word he did blead them; and according to his word he did do all things for them; and there was not any thing done save it were by his word.

….41 And he did straiten them in the wilderness with his rod; for they hardened their hearts, even as ye have; and the Lord straitened them because of their iniquity. He sent fiery flying serpents among them; and after they were bitten he prepared a way that they might be healed; and the labor which they had to perform was to look; and because of the simpleness of the way, or the easiness of it, there were many who perished.

2 Nephi 1:26 And ye have murmured because he hath been plain unto you. Ye say that he hath used sharpness; ye say that he hath been angry with you; but behold, his sharpness was the sharpness of the power of the word of God, which was in him; and that which ye call anger was the truth, according to that which is in God, which he could not restrain, manifesting boldly concerning your iniquities.

…31 Wherefore, because thou hast been faithful thy seed shall be blessed with his seed, that they dwell in prosperity long upon the face of this land; and nothing, save it shall be iniquity among them, shall harm or disturb their prosperity upon the face of this land forever.

32 Wherefore, if ye shall keep the commandments of the Lord, the Lord hath consecrated this land for the security of thy seed with the seed of my son.

2 Nephi2:5 And men are instructed sufficiently that they know good from evil. And the law is given unto men. And by the law no flesh is justified; or, by the law men are cut off. Yea, by the temporal law they were cut off; and also, by the spiritual law they perish from that which is good, and become miserable forever.

6 Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth.

7 Behold, he offereth himself a sacrifice for sin, to answer the ends of the law, unto all those who have a broken heart and a contrite spirit; and unto none else can the ends of the law be answered.

8 Wherefore, how great the importance to make these things known unto the inhabitants of the earth, that they may know that there is no flesh that can dwell in the presence of God, save it be through the merits, and mercy, and grace of the Holy Messiah, who layeth down his life according to the flesh, and taketh it again by the power of the Spirit, that he may bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, being the first that should rise.

2 Nephi2:13 And if ye shall say there is no law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not there is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away.

14 And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and learning; for there is a God, and he hath created all things, both the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, both things to act and things to be acted upon.

15 And to bring about his eternal purposes in the end of man, after he had created our first parents, and the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and in fine, all things which are created, it must needs be that there was an opposition; even the forbidden fruit in opposition to the tree of life; the one being sweet and the other bitter.

16 Wherefore, the Lord God gave unto man that he should act for himself. Wherefore, man could not act for himself save it should be that he was enticed by the one or the other.

17 And I, Lehi, according to the things which I have read, must needs suppose that an angel of God, according to that which is written, had fallen from heaven; wherefore, he became a devil, having sought that which was evil before God

2 Nephi??:

22 And now, behold, if Adam had not transgressed he would not have fallen, but he would have remained in the garden of Eden. And all things which were created must have remained in the same state in which they were after they were created; and they must have remained forever, and had no end.

23 And they would have had no children; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no joy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no sin.

24 But behold, all things have been done in the wisdom of him who knoweth all things.

25 Adam fell that men might be; and men care, that they might have joy.

26 And the Messiah cometh in the fulness of time, that he may redeem the children of men from the fall. And because that they are redeemed from the fall they have become free forever, knowing good from evil; to act for themselves and not to be acted upon, save it be by the punishment of the law at the great and last day, according to the commandments which God hath given.

2 Nephi3:11 But a seer will I raise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and unto him will I give power to bring forth my word unto the seed of thy loins—and not to the bringing forth my word only, saith the Lord, but to the convincing them of my word, which shall have already gone forth among them.

12 Wherefore, the fruit of thy loins shall write; and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write; and that which shall be written by the fruit of thy loins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together, unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions, and establishing peace among the fruit of thy loins, and bringing them to the knowledge of their fathers in the latter days, and also to the knowledge of my covenants, saith the Lord.

17 And the Lord hath said: I will raise up a Moses; and I will give power unto him in a rod; and I will give judgment unto him in writing. Yet I will not loose his tongue, that he shall speak much, for I will not make him mighty in speaking. But I will write unto him my law, by the finger of mine own hand; and I will make a spokesman for him.

2 Nephi9:16 And assuredly, as the Lord liveth, for the Lord God hath spoken it, and it is His eternal word, which cannot pass away, that they who are righteous shall be righteous still, and they who are filthy shall be filthy still; wherefore, they who are filthy are the devil and his angels; and they shall go away into everlasting fire, prepared for them; and their torment is as a lake of fire and brimstone, whose flame ascendeth up forever and ever and has no end.

17 O the greatness and the justice of our God! For he executeth all his words, and they have gone forth out of his mouth, and his law must be fulfilled.

25 Wherefore, he has given a law; and where there is no law given there is no punishment; and where there is no punishment there is no condemnation; and where there is no condemnation the mercies of the Holy One of Israel have claim upon them, because of the atonement; for they are delivered by the power of him.

27 But wo unto him that has the law given, yea, that has all the commandments of God, like unto us, and that transgresseth them, and that wasteth the days of his probation, for awful is his state!

40 O, my beloved brethren, give ear to my words. Remember the greatness of the Holy One of Israel. Do not say that I have spoken hard things against you; for if ye do, ye will revile against the truth; for I have spoken the words of your Maker. I know that the words of truth are hard against all uncleanness; but the righteous fear them not, for they love the truth and are not shaken.

***Note- Catholic New Testament uses the words from Jesus with the Papal PAX symbol… “My work will not pass away.” Very close to “His eternal word, which cannot pass away”.

Neat how the two words are almost interchangable here… Work Word… with the Word you can do the work.

2 Nephi28:10 And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them.

11 Yea, they have all gone out of the away; they have become corrupted.

12 Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up.
