#25. Johnny Depp
One of the biggest movie stars of Hollywood, who is now in a legal conflict with his former wife and actress, Amber Heard, is without a doubt Johnny Depp. He started his acting career in A Nightmare on Elm Street and continued to be cast in several blockbuster films, such as Pirates of the Caribbean and the Harry Potter spin-off, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
As a direct consequence of his fame and several personal problems that the actor had, he decided to live far from civilization, and chose two beautiful places where to live. One of his personal choices is a 9,9 km suburb in France called Meudon, in which he bought a pretty house. When he gets tired of the suburban life, Depp takes his personal plane and goes to The Bahammas, to spend time in his own island.

Oscar winner Julia Roberts is among the most important stars in Hollywood, and since her breakout role in Pretty Women she is considered and casted for almost every major film. Despite her being such an important part of Hollywood, she is not one who likes that kind of life, and also decided to live far away from the cameras.
The famous actress moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1995, with his husband Danny Moder. Twenty five years later, they still continue their life there and even bought a plot of 32 acres of land to build their own house. In an interview with Good Housekeeping, Roberts said that the small town is the harbor of her life, and she loves to do her own gardening!

Multifaceted comedian Dave Chapelle, who had also pursued a career as amateur skater and also produced several TV shows and films. His latest collaboration was the hit film A Star is Born, with Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. Chapelle dropped from his own show, The Chappelle Show, when it was at its rating and popularity peak, although he came back for several Netflix's specials.
The fact that he left his own show is a strong declaration of how he dislikes fame and popularity. Instead of living in a big city with his family, the actor and comedian decided to buy a 65 acre farm in Yellowspring, Ohio. Yellowspring is a small community of approximately 3,500 inhabitants, and so, Chapelle and his family can enjoy a bit of privacy.
#22. Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively
Our favorite Hollywood couple is that of Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and their love and relationship never ceases to amaze us. Ryan is one of the most important actors of the last decade, specially after the release of the film Deadpool, based on the satirical super hero by Marvel Comics. Blake is also a very important actress, although she does not participate in so many films these days.
Even though they are considered among the elite of Hollywood, the beautiful couple dislike the busy and tiresome life of living in a very big city, so they decided to live in a small town in the state of New York, Bedford. Located in the county of Westchester, it has b approximately 100,000 inhabitants and its mostly farm, a good place to raise their little daughter.

Famous rapper Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, launched his first album, Infinite, in 1996. He quickly achieved world fame and became one of the most prominent white rappers in the United States and sold more than 200 millions during his whole career. In 2002, Eminem starred in the film 8 Mile, that told his life story and how he became to be the rapper he is now.
For a while he went underground and appeared this year in the 92nd edition of the Academy Awards singing his hit song Lose Yourself. It was such a surprise as Eminem is not one who likes to participate in such big events, and likes to live his life privately. As a matter of fact, he is currently living in the gated community of Clinton Township in his hometown, Detroit, which he never left.

George Clooney, born in 1961, is among the most important Hollywood stars and an actor who achieved an incredible career since he started acting on ER when he was only 23 years. According to science and the golden ratio, he is probably the most handsome man on Earth, and everybody is pretty sure that he is.
As is the case with actor Johnny Depp, George Clooney and his wife, Amal, live in two different and beautiful places during the year. Thanks to the fortune he amassed in Hollywood, he could afford his dream house in Lake Como, Italy, and in Sonning in the Thames river in England.

One of the highest grossing actors of all time is Harrison Ford, known for his roles of Han Solo in the Star Wars saga and Indiana Jones in the self-titled films. His first roles were pretty much uncredited and went by without any success, until he met George Lucas, who gave him the role of Han Solo.
Ford developed a great friendship with George Lucas and later with Francis Ford Coppola, who casted him for several successful films. But despite the fame and friends in high places, Ford likes to live a very quiet life with his family. The place he chose to spend his days is the small town of Jackson Hole in Wyoming, surrounded by beautiful mountains.

Every time we watch a movie with the actor with the almost impossible to pronounce last name, Matthew McConaughey, we all strive to understand him when he talks. This is so because he was born and raised in Uvalde, Texas, and when he became a hit movie star, he moved to Los Angeles.
But despite being a hit movie star with several successful films under his sleeve, such as Interstellar, Dallas Buyers Club and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, among others, he did not get used to the fast paced life of Los Angeles, and so, he decided to move back to Texas. Matthew is now living in Austin and has a part-time job teaching at his alma mater university.

Another star born in Texas, and who shared screen time with Matthew McConaughey in the TV show True Detective, Woody Harrelson is a multi-faceted actor and has starred in comedies, dramas, and even action films. He recently starred in the sequel of the zombie-parody Zombieland and is now preparing to debut as Carnage in the Venom sequel film.
But when he is not filming or preparing for a very important role, he is spending time with his family and friends in the gated community of Huelo, in the north shore of Maui, Hawaii. Despite acting in several movies and shows every year, he prefers his down to earth lifestyle.

Famous musician and actor Justin Timberlake started his music career in the boy band N'Sync from 1995 to 2002. After the band broke up and each member went their separate ways, he launched his solo career and released his first album, Justified, in 2002. Justin has also starred in several films, such as The Social Network and In Time.
Timberlake is married to famous actress Jessica Biel since 2002 and they have a 4 year old kid together. Despite both being very glamorous persons, they live a very simple life in a very small town in Tennessee called Leiper's Fork. It seems that their idea is bringing up his kid far away from the eccentric Hollywood life.

London-born actor, Daniel-Day Lewis, has had a very prolific acting career since his the release of his first film in 1971, Sunday Bloody Sunday. Many of his films were instant successes and thanks to that he has won 3 Oscar awards. In 2017, approximately 46 years after his first role, he decided to retire.
His decision for retiring came after he finished filming the 2017 film Phantom Thread. And, as a London born person, he likes the quiet life of an island, and so he decided to spend his retired life in the small county of Wicklow in Ireland, surrounded by beautiful mountain lakes.
#14. John Travolta
John Travolta was not always the action hero we know, as his career started with several music and dance comedies such as Saturday Night Fever and Grease, which turned the young actor into a rising star. He then appeared in Pulp Fiction with Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson, film that sealed his fate as an incredible actor.
Sadly, these last few years have been very rough on Travolta's acting career, and his last stellar role was in the TV series American Crime Story that he himself produced. But this is not a problem for the actor, as he is living a tranquil life in his house in Ocala, Florida where he flies his private planes.

Sandra Bullock used to be one of the first actresses every director would seek when they needed a charismatic and incredible actress. She has starred in more than 50 films and many of them were praised by the critics. For that same reason she was nominated 114 times and won 76 awards during her career.
Despite owning a house in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and in Tybee Island in Georgia, she decided to spend her life in a not-so-big and not-so-quiet city, New Orleans in the State of Louisiana. She has lived there since 2009 and said that she would not change it for anywhere else in the world.

We are coming back to the action hero theme and this time it is the turn of our favorite Die Hard hero. Of course, we are talking about Bruce Willis. A little known fact about Willis is that his first major role was in a comedy film, Blind Date in 1987, and a year later he would star in the first of many installments of Die Hard.
Despite acting in more than 100 films throughout his career, the actor is not one to give interviews or appear in public, and he has avoided any legal trouble for as long as he started acting. Moreover, his family house, which looks like a beautiful mansion is located in Sun Valley, Idaho, a winter tourist center!

Moulin Rouge actress and former wife of actor Tom Cruise, with whom she had two children, Nicole Kidman was one of the most famous, beautiful and eccentric actresses of Hollywood. Everyone was infatuated by her charisma and her incredible acting skills, and she won 97 awards in her career, including one Academy Award.
After divorcing from Tom Cruise, she met musician Keith Urban and they both fell instantly in love. As Urban was born and raised in New Zealand, and as Kidman wanted to stay away from the cameras unless it was completely necessary, they moved to a quaint, small city as Nashville, Tennessee, where they raise their two children.

Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks also started his career as a comedian, as was the case with Bruce Willis, and soon developed a new and prolific career in drama films, becoming one of the most sought-after actors in Hollywood. His turn to win an Oscar came with the film Cast Away, for which he won best actor award.
One of the latest news we received from was that he got infected from the novel covid-19 while filming in Australia, but is hoping to go back to his rural house with his wife, actress Rita Wilson. They currently live in the small town or Ketchum in Idaho.

Multifaceted actor and comedian Bill Murray earned most of his fame thanks to his participation in the show Saturday Night Live. His incredible participation made him earn an Emmy award. He also participated in important films such as Ghostbusters, which became a cult film, and Lost in Translation, together with Scarlett Johansson.
The almost retired actor chose the city of Charleston, South Carolina, to live his retirement years quietly. But he did not turn himself into a hermit. Instead, he is a very active member of the community he lives in, always helping his neighbors in every way he can and participating in every beneficial event.
#8. Zach Galifianakis
American comedy actor Zach Galifianakis was quite a stranger until he got the leading role in the film The Hangover, together with Bradley Cooper and Ed Kelms. The movie was so funny and successful that two sequels were released. Zach also appeared in the comedy film Due Date with Robert Downey Jr.
Despite being a star film comedian, Galifianakis is now focused on his TV show Baskets by which he was nominated for an Emmy award. He spends his days in his Allegheny County house, in North Carolina, with his wife and two children. As he said in an interview, "my farm is a place that I get to think clearly and pretend to know what I am doing."

Jeff Daniels is an American actor best known for playing the role of Harry Dunne in the comedy Dumb and Dumber alongside comedy star Jim Carrey. Among his other notable roles we can quote 101 Dalmatians as the owner of Pongo and State of Play with Russell Crowe, Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams.
Lately his career has been dwindling and he has participated in less than 10 movies in the last decade, thus giving the sensation that he is ready to retire and live an easy life far from the Hollywood spotlight. Lately he has been living in a small town of approximately 5,000 inhabitants in Chelsea, Michigan
#6. Robert Redford
Everytime we say the name Robert Redford out loud we picture a cowboy shooting while galloping a horse, and this is because many of the roles that the American actor represented were lawless cowboys. For example, the films Butch Cassidy and The Electric Horsemen, two of his early films, turned him into a world sensation.
The now retired actor and producer won 42 awards, 1 of them being an Academy Award for the film Ordinary People in the Best Director category. Redford is now dedicating his free time to be an activist and ecologist, putting all his effort into living a best world for his grandsons.
#5. Michael Keaton
While most of his early career was dedicated to comedy films like Night Shift which was released in 1982 and hit film Beetlejuice released in 1988, actor Michael Keaton soon turned into acting in more serious and dramatic roles, and even took the mantle of one of our favorite superheroes, Batman. Until the day, many believe that his portrayal of Batman is the best ever.
In the last decade or so, the major roles stopped coming Keaton's way and he decided to move to a small ranch in Montana that he bought, but as fortune always finds its way, he started to act once again. Almost all of his latest films were huge success, specially the film Birdman that was nominated and won several Academy Awards.
#4. Donald Glover
Eve though charismatic actor Donald Glover has been around for a long time, his name started to headline films more frequently in the last decade. His biggest roles in film and television are in the TV show Community, in the animate Ultimate Spider-Man series in which he voices Miles Morales and in the Star Wars spin-off, Solo.
Glover does not dedicate his life entirely to acting, as he is also a singer and rapper, and for that reason he is called to give his voice in several films. In Disney's remake and live action of The Lion King, Glover voices Simba. His life is so reserved that little is known about where he lives, so we can only assume he lives in the city of Atlanta.
#3. Jane Fonda
Actress Jane Fonda is the daughter of the legendary actor Henry Fonda and it was quite expected that she would follow in the steps of her father, although at first she disliked the idea. But when she acted alongside her father in a theater play, her life changed, and she started the career to become one of the best actresses out there.
She is currently not appearing in many Hollywood movies, but she takes the leading role in the TV show Grace and Frankie since 2015. The show has been renewed for one more season which will air in 2021. Meanwhile, Fonda lives in Montana surrounded by nature, and close to he brother, Peter Fonda.
#2. Jeff Bridges
Another veteran actor living in Montana is Jeff Bridges, son of famous star Lloyd Bridges. Bridges has appeared in almost 100 movies since he started acting at a very young age, and has been nominated, and won, 48 awards in his whole career. He is renowned for films such as The Big Lebowski, Crazy Heart and our favorite True Grit.
Of course, he is not always the hero that saves everybody, as he performed the antagonist role in the first Iron Man movie as Iron Monger. Despite appearing in so many successful films, he enjoys his life in Montana as has been enjoying for the last 20 years.
#1. Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa may be one of the most famous rapper of our time and and has released 14 records since he first debuted in 2006. Most of us have see and heard some of his songs, and he even made the Fast and Furious 6 song See You Again with Charlie Puth. Khalifa is a very good friend of rapper Snoop Dogg and has acted alongside him in the film Mac and Devin go to High School.
Despite being a rapper, who are accustomed to a certain way of life among luxury, he strayed far from that path and instead of owning an incredible mansion, he own a "small" 4,000 square foot house in the county of Canonsburg in Pennsylvania, home to approximately 8,000 inhabitants.
